Chops

I call these things poemography. I’ve done several. It seemed like a good idea to combine writing with photography in a way that capitalizes on the strengths of each. I remember Sister Corita Kent using text in her paintings to good effect back in the Sixties and Seventies. She was an activist who used her artist’s eye to advance the causes of social justice and peace. You can learn more about her if you’re interested by clicking on her name above.

I’m no Corita. Hell, I’m not even a sister, but I appreciate a good concept.


Chops

This guy was playing his tenor sax under a live oak near the Indian River Lagoon. I thought he looked interesting so I took his picture and made him a backstory.
